On Thursday, after a whole day of camp recovery, Sensei and Yoshiet took us on a bus tour of Tokyo. We Visited the Meiji Shrine, Tokyo Tower and the bay of Tokyo. It was so nice to spend time with the Takahashi's and to hear their vision for missions in Japan and around the world.
Sensei stands between God and country hoping that the two will be one day be united. He loves his country yet he realizes that Japan's history has not been filled with goodwill. He knows that the future of Japan will be just as bad as its past if his countrymen are not saved. His desire to see his own countrymen be saved is much like that of Paul's in Romans 10. You can see it all over him.
It is very encouraging to be around a man who sees a need and is willing to work his whole life to fulfill that need. I learn a lot from Sensei every time I visit Japan.
