Church

Yesterday we went to church. It is nice to be working with the Church in Tachikawa again. I still know most of the people that attended yesterday, to my pleasant surprise some of them are now Christian. One of the men who has become a Christian is Mr. Tanakura, who was my first english student four years ago. The change in his life is very evident as he is much more joyful. Mr. Tanakura has become very active in the church and one of the things that he is doing is working on some much needed renovations to the church building.

Today Tony and I helped many of the church members re-carpet the sanctuary under Mr. Tanakura's supervision. The work made the day go by quickly, but now the church has new carpet. The only thing that remains is one little door jam issue that we will fix in the morning.

Tomorrow Tony and I will begin handing out fliers at schools for the VBS program and we will finish planning the curriculum. Please Pray that the children will be interested and that their parents will want to come along.
